Rules of Tournament

 

  1. In order to represent their company and country at the World Final, which takes place in Portugal / Cascais in June 2017, the qualified team must win the English Final.
  2. The competition is open to companies/teams in England.
  3. The competition is a 1 day 36 holes tournament having 1 round of 18 holes played in the morning and again in the afternoon.
  4. A team consists of two amateur players (min. age 18) each having an index handicap between 0 and 24.
  5. Players will play using ¾ of their Index Handicap (Not Course Handicap)
  6. The team must include one company senior employee with a company colleague or invited guest such as business associates, clients, suppliers, etc.…
  7. Players are not allowed to change playing partners over the course of the tournament.
  8. There is no participation limit. Companies are allowed to enter more than 1 team in the competition.
  9. The competition is a combined stableford over 36 Holes.
  10. The winning team will be decided by taking the combined total of the Stableford nett scores of each team. The final score of the team will be the total sum of Nett points of both players for both rounds over 36 holes.
  11. 3 Nett team prizes and 1 Individual Nett Prize will be awarded after the competition.
  12. On course prizes will be provided on the day
  13. The best nett team from the English final will qualify for the World Final.
  14. The value of prizes will not exceed the limit fixed for players of amateur status.
  15. The organisers reserve the right to modify the rules of the competition at any time.
  16. Entrance fees are non-refundable
  17. The Organisers reserve the right to change details described in the event literature, including golf course and cannot be held responsible for any liability caused by inclement weather.
